Currently a dancer with Ballet Tucson (AZ-USA)

Other Professional Experience:
Montgomery Ballet (AL-USA), Madison Ballet (WI-USA)

Graduated from DanceWest Ballet (IL-USA)
I had the pleasure of working for Mr. McIntyre for two seasons at Montgomery Ballet. In my time there I had extraordinary experiences dancing in repertoire that pushed me both technically and artistically. He gave me precious opportunities to perform roles like Queen of the Dyrads in "Don Quixote" and Fairy Doll pas de trois. He valued what I brought to the studio, and then took my dancing to another level. There was a wonderful balance of technical excellence and artistic expression. Mr. McIntyre did not limit his dancers. Rather, he gave us a repertoire that was challenging, ambitious, and of the highest quality. Through his detailed coaching I saw myself and my colleagues shine and dance to a level that we didn't know was possible. Dancing under the direction of Mr. McIntyre was truly special and I am extremely grateful for everything I learned from him.

Graduated from University of Oklahoma (OK-USA)

I had the opportunity to work with Mr. McIntyre my first season with Fort Wayne Ballet. He coached me in several pieces, but the most directly when he set “Phantom of the Opera.” Mr. McIntyre continually found ways to challenge me both artistically and technically, while giving me opportunities to shine and show my strengths. There was a open communication in the studio that brought works to life in such a positive light. I felt safe to explore the role of Christine and become the character, while being guided throughout the artistic process. Mr. McIntyre allowed myself, as a growing dancer and artist, to take a leap forward in my personal journey. His coaching brought me confidence in myself as a dancer and insight into areas I can continue to strive to reach. Working with Mr. McIntyre has always been a positive experience and I look forward to opportunities to learn & grow from his classes, choreography and coaching in the future.

Mr. McIntyre presented me with my first professional contract with the Montgomery Ballet when I was 19. I was skeptical at first to sign, only because it meant a move to Alabama. I will always hold that decision close to my heart, as it was the best one that I've ever made. In the one season that I danced with Montgomery Ballet, I learned more about myself as a dancer than I'd ever known before.  I was given many wonderful opportunities such as Snow Queen and Arabian in Darren's version of "The Nutcracker" and the lead in Darren's original ballet "Liberty Bell". These roles helped greatly in my maturity as an artist. Darren's original work "Australia" was an exciting highlight for the whole company. It was challenging, but equally as rewarding to dance. The company was always pushed just the right amount. Darren coached us, guided us, and most importantly, cared tremendously for us. He cared greatly about making it a kind environment to work in, and I loved going to my job every day. I would not be where I am in my career if it weren't for my year spent in Montgomery with Mr. McIntyre and am grateful for this opportunity.

I was promoted to Principal Dancer during my first production under his Artistic Direction. His coaching was inspiring and I performed in several of his re-staging's of the traditional repertory as well as was featured in several of his new creations. His artistry and sense of leadership is impressive and all the opportunities he gave me made me grow incredibly as an artist and also technically. The day would always have an amazing start every time he had time to teach company class and I'm grateful to have had him as a mentor and to have worked with him as my Ballet Master, Choreographer and Artistic Director.
